International Surgical Week
The main meeting of IASMEN is in conjunction with the biennial International Surgical Week (ISW) organized by the International Society of Surgery (ISS/SIC). Regularly some 15-20 International Specialist Societies, amongst which are the five ISS/SIC Integrated Societies (IASMEN, IATSIC, IAES, BSI, ISDS) as well as some National Surgical Societies cover the broad spectrum of surgery during a 4-day scientific program. With the aim to gather surgeons in all stages of their career and from all around the globe, the ISW provides a platform for the mutual exchange of scientific knowledge and new techniques.

The next International Surgical Week meeting will be held in August 25-29, 2013 in Helsinki, Finland. More information will become available in the future on the

International Surgical Week ISW 2011
The 2011 International Week was held in Yokohama, Japan from August 28 - September 1.
